I prayed that I would have a fun internship that I'll leave with two hands full this summer long before I ever had an interview.

I prayed that I would have a wonderful experience beyond my thoughts that I might come with nothing yet end with both two hands full before the intern started.


Although I knew it’s almost impossible to make any friend during 11.5 weeks while working with senior executives daily and staying with the host family who actually is my father’s friend without any other interns,
I still hope, that I might have chances to make significant friends here. Therefore, I would hate to say good-bye.

My host family and I kind of in a babysitting situation this whole week....

We're babysitting for two kids, and one is 5 and one is 2. Their mom and dad, my host family's close friends, go to Paris for a whole week.
So the first place we go after work is their house and play with them, and two of us need to sleep there overnight.

At the same time, Danny came back in his last week before starting his first full-time job to babysit them
- he's more than a little bit sad about babysitting kids in the last week before going to work....^^"

阿姨叔叔家有大草坪大後院大花園還有小菜圃,
那是阿姨叔叔的寶貝,


裡面什麼花都有:
薰衣草, 玫瑰樹, 仙人掌, 薄荷, 金針花, 金針花的親戚, 牽牛花的親戚, 伏桑, 曇花, 茉莉花, 三色堇, Lili, 雛菊, 菊花的親戚, 牡丹....
九層塔, 韭菜, 蘆筍, 番茄, 絲瓜, 桑椹, 櫻桃, 一堆不知道是什麼的苺......
還有一堆常見不常見總之我叫不出名字的花草樹木

Today is my boss' 25th anniversary of serving in Motorola,
and we have a small breakfast celebration for him

--- I was soooo surprised when I got the letter a week ago!

Man~~~25 years! It's just my age!
When the time he entered Motorola, I was just born!!!
Amazing~ I even can't imagine where I will be after 25 years!

今天早上又是一個八點半的會議,
開完會後我老闆經過我的座位,
眼尖的看見了我的第二支手機

---兩個星期前當他看到我的第一支手機是Sanyo的時, 已經murmur了一陣子,
當他今天看到我竟然還有第二支手機, 並且是Nokia的時, 臉都綠了
----完全不只是MURMUR了~~~~~~~~~~~~~^^”
Sanyo就算了, 竟然還有Nokia~~~

Intern開始第一週, 我開始看了一本早就買了的書
"How To Have That Difficult Conversation You’ve Been Avoiding" , Boundary系列中的其中一本

─── 來之前發生了不愉快的事。一開始覺得事小, 沒有必要為了小事傷和氣, 久了就因為許多沒有說出口累積下來的差異, 最後完全合不起來了。這也是我為何會開始看這本書, 因為如同書中寫的:
 "We change when the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of changing."(p.26)

剛不小心發現,
其實我認識不少還蠻重要名叫丹尼爾的人,

她們都剛好大學/研究所學跟電腦有關的東西(資管/電機/CS),
剛好都幫了我相當多的忙,
甚至有些還成為我成長過程中的重要他人~
